Iridium Certus 9704 Developer Kit

Slide 1

We Take You To Space.
You Take It From There.

The Iridium Certus™ 9704 Developer Kit is a highly efficient end-to-end evaluation tool for the Iridium Certus 9704 module and its companion service, Iridium Messaging Transport® (IMT®).

Simple yet versatile, the kit bundles hardware, software, and connectivity components to create a streamlined discovery experience that works for tech-savvy and non-technical users alike. Whether you’re just getting to know the Iridium network or looking for new development opportunities as a seasoned Iridium partner, the Developer Kit allows you to test Iridium IoT capabilities quickly, accurately, and independently.

In the Box

Launch Pad Developer Board

USB-C Cable

3,000 mAh Li-Ion Battery

Helical Iridium Antenna

SMA Right-Angle Adapter

MicroSD Card

Every Developer Kit comes with a pre-provisioned Iridium Certus 9704 Module, ready to connect to the Iridium network after a few minutes of setup—no coding, soldering, or additional equipment required.

As part of the accelerated integrator experience, the module arrives factory-soldered onto a PCB equipped with an Arduino-compatible Cortex M0+ processor and connectors for many off-the-shelf sensors and actuators.

Once an activated module registers on the Iridium network, it enables connectivity features on the host PCB, transforming it into a compact, energy-efficient hub that transfers valuable IoT data from the local sensors to the IoT demo app dashboard on an external device.

Small Form Factor. Big Outcomes.

1

ACCELERATE: For architects & hardware engineers, the dev kit provides a quick way to design proofs-of-concept and build multiple prototypes.

3

ENGAGE: Offers the transparency of open-source software and the convenience of tools like the Arduino IDE—along with user-generated Arduino libraries.

2

TEST: Easily test Iridium satellite network connectivity to find out if IMT meets your application requirements—without service costs and lengthy contract commitments.

4

TROUBLESHOOT: Replicate implementation failures, extract error logs, and check debug procedures.
